Municipal Space Ideation for Open City Projects & OCAD
Spring 2008

This competition required submission participants to identify a city site that was in need of revitalization and to plan an enhancement for its social environment. Research determined common users and usage patterns of the Pape Pedestrian Bridge infrastructure (children commuting to school with parents, not seen as a shortcut to cross train tracks due to length and bleak conditions), which yielded design opportunities for each member of the site's research team to design a solution. I designed a non-intrusive sculpture for bridge railings that improved the quality of interaction for children.

Design Process Focus:
site research, user research (demographics, persona research), ideation, sketches, rendering, presentations
